Arthur Simone is an artist hailing from Louisiana, having moved to Austin to co-found ColdTowne Theater. He graduated from Oberlin College and studied improvisation at Chicago’s Improv Olympic. Notable live performances have included Rubber Repertory’s Jubilee and his one-man show Dear Frailty, which earned him an award as Best Actor in Austin.
Inspired by improvising with his dog as live act Buddy Daddy, Arthur began the study of robotics and electronics, resulting in Fusebox Festival showcase Bot Party. Ongoing conversations with social roboticists from Carnegie Mellon, MIT and University of Texas have added to the development of robot Annabelle, who has appeared at SXSW and Austin’s Maker Faire Fashion.
As a film and television actor, Simone has appeared in everything from Big Momma’s House 2 to Parkland. Arthur is longtime participant in the East Austin Studio Tour and has been a Hunting Art Prize finalist for his abstract expressionist oils on canvas.
