What inspired you to make this project or participate?
I love community art projects, especially ones that are hands on and adaptable for anyone ages 2 to 102! I also like the concept behind the "Kindness Rocks Project" as a way to help bring art and positivity into the world for random people to find and perhaps lift up their day. As both and artist and an arts educator, I have created several 1000 origami paper crane projects over the years with my students and school communities. They have been a very simple, yet powerful way to share solidarity and healing to those affected by violence, grief, loss, as well as to honor and celebrate the people in our lives.
