This is your resource center to guide you through the many details of exhibiting at Maker Faire Austin.
Please begin by reading our Maker Manual very carefully. It should contain most if not all of the information you need to begin to prepare for a successful Faire experience.
We have NEW rules on parking and Maker Check-in this year!! Please review the Maker Manual for changes.
We update the toolkit frequently. If you can’t find the information you need, please check back.

Important Information:
- If you need them, start lining up helpers to set up, and staff your booth. Watch for an email to register your helpers. We allow as many helpers as you need for setup. We Allow 2 helpers per booth per Faire day. Contact us right away if you need more, and explain ALL the specifics of your request. info@makerfaireaustin.com
- You will receive Evenbrite ticket codes for yourself and your helpers for the days of the Faire. Everyone must register for tickets and check in at maker check in or ticketing to get their credentials.
- Plan ahead to attend the Maker Happy Hour Friday May 3rd 7pm to 9pm.
- Start thinking about load in right away. We will be issuing parking passes, and loading passes. You MUST have a pass to unload at the dock. You MUST have a parking pass to park in the Loading Dock area. These limited and issued by need, and then first come first serve.
- Load Out: The show is LIVE until 6pm Saturday. DO NOT START PACKING UP EARLY! This is dangerous to our attendees and a violation of the venue’s policies..(and bad form) You MUST have a separate LOAD OUT pass to enter the Loading area to unload. You can get these at the Maker Check in/Support area. WE WILL NOT GIVE ANY PASSES OUT BEFORE 5:30. They venue will not allow any passes through the gate until 6pm.

- Round 1 closes March 30th, 2018 Midnight
- Late entry starts April 15th, 2018 Midnight
- Applications will still be accepted after Round 1 closes. Priority for placement, parking passes and helper passes will be given to applications received by March 30th. Fees may apply for applications received after March 30th. See information at our Fees Page.
- April 18 – Deadline for sampling food.
- April 18 — For exhibits with fire or safety concerns: submit a safety plan if you did not submit one in your application: Email to erin@makerfaireaustin.com
